    The length of time it takes to get a services in the public education system can vary depending on factors such as the complexity of the case and whether or not there are disputes that need to be resolved. In general, an uncontested resolution will take 1-2 months. If the dispute requires filing an action with OAH, the process could take as long as a year or more. Most cases are resolved in mediation with the school district and do not go to trial.
